Parking

There are a number of Public paid lots in the surrounding area. The closest lot is the Icona lot, which is attached to this building. Please note that Parking is more expensive on game days.

Bikes

Badged guests have access to bike parking by request. The bike cage is located on P0 and owned by Longfellow. It is the responsibility of bike owners to secure any assets stored in the bike cage and to secure the area upon entering / exiting. If you would like access to the bike cage, please email a request to Mel ([email protected]).

Non-badged guests will not have access to indoor bike parking. There are racks on the street if they would like to utilize those.

Work Space Etiquette

Pear welcomes founders, students and guests into our office to create an exciting, collaborative and creative space. It's important to respect the space to ensure its a wonderful environment for all. Please be considerate - this is critical to the Pear office working for everyone here!

• In order for this to work, please ensure you:
  • clean up your space throughout the day
  • do not leave trash on your desk
  • keep your conversations to a low volume and brief
  • help keep bathrooms tidy by cleaning up after yourself
  • be respectful of other member’s workspace and property
  • don’t bring in animals
• If you are using a conference room, please ensure you:
  • leave all tech in the room
  • do not adjust heating/air
  • throw away all trash
  • erase the whiteboard if you used it
  • end the meeting on the iPad
• As an open concept workspace, it is vital to all members of the office that we prioritize hygiene and sanitization.
  • If you are sick, please stay home until you are fully recovered.
  • If you need to sneeze, please cover your mouth and sanitize your area after.
  • If you need to clear your nose or throat, please step into a bathroom or go outside to do so.

Trash & Recycling

Smaller trash or recycling items can be disposed of using one of the waste bins stationed throughout the office.

To recycle large boxes, please break down the box until it’s flat and leave it on the counter above the trash and recycling pull-out drawers, located in the Pear Team kitchen. Flattened boxes left in this area will be taken by our janitorial team each night for proper recycling.

Seating

• The Pear team desks are on the “UCSF side” of the space. This is the “Pear VC” side.
• Founders should sit on the “freeway side” of the space. This is the “Pear Studio” side.
  • Guests are welcome to bring the personal tools and technology they need to work. Pear is not liable for the safety or location of your items.
  • If you’re in office 3+ days a week, you’re welcome to leave your monitor and belongings at a desk.
  • We will likely update our seating policy as we evaluate office capacity.
